Mom, like her mother before her, was ALWAYS positive and uplifting, with a firm but loving approach to discipline; she shared her joy with others and gladly came to the aid of anyone in need of cheering-up. She was wise and measured in her approach to doling-out advice so that we kids would not only take it to heart but, think through the consequences of any choice we made. As a result, we are a big group of loving siblings and we extend her values to those we know.
Mom was always supportive of what I chose to do, whether it was taking the summer after graduating college off, rather than scouring the country for jobs, or exploring my own art in the form of carving.
I miss her greatly and always will. As Dave has said, Mom was our first, biggest and best friend and she loved all of us equally, fully, unconditionally and steadfastly.
I have had many friends describe the ways in which my Mom will remain with me and continue to color my life and, they are all correct. She will paint the beautiful and painful moments, sketch my dreams, mold my creations, and give me voice and song for decades to come...
I love you Mom!!
