Ruby G.”Jeri” North, 89, of Kimberling City, passed away July 29, 2012 in Mercy Hospital. Ruby was a Branson business woman. Owning and operating “Jeri’s Glad Rag’s” for many years. Ruby was a long time member of Kimberling City Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her parents O.E. Jennings and Pearl L Jennings. 5 siblings, Elmer “Chic” Jennings, Weldon G. “Boots” Jennings, Ellen Jennings, Donald Jennings and Thelma Rhodes. Ruby is survived by her son Barton R. Smith of Branson; a granddaughter Bess Coombs and 2 great grandchildren Logan and Landon Coombs all of Ozark; a sister, Gladys Law of McAllen, TX; 4 nieces, Gail Newlin, Leslie Tanner also of McAllen, TX, Dee Gastineau of Woodland, TX and Lorilee Mitchell of Thousand Oaks, CA.; and will be missed by many other family members and dear friends. A memorial service for Ruby will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday, August 4, 2012 in Greenlawn Funeral Home East. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
