Russell “Kelly” Campbell, age 50, passed away Friday, July 27, 2012. Kelly was born April 23, 1962 in Huntingburg, Indiana. He married his high school sweetheart, Angela, on November 21, 1981. On February 26, 1982, he pledged his allegiance to the Air Force and continued serving until joining the Army National Guard in 1990. He was medically discharged from service on December 31, 1999. After earning a Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Computer Information Systems from Southwest Missouri State University in 2002, he began working for Ozark Technical Community College teaching Computer Electronics and Repair. He retired from OTC in 2010. In his free time, he planted flowers, played in golfing events and went fishing numerous places (including Canada.) He was active in church ministries through South Gate Baptist and spent time as a deacon. He is survived by his wife Angela, children: Amy (Les) Smith and Brian Campbell and parents; Saundra (Don) Hockett and Russell (Roseann) Campbell, sister, Robin (Jim) White , two nieces; Shelby and Lindsey, Uncle David (Cindy) Campbell, Aunt Francie Reed, Uncle Charles (Bonnie) Winsted and numerous family and friends. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 31, 2012 in Greenlawn Funeral Home South. Funeral Services will be at 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, August 1, 2012, in Greenlawn Funeral Home South with burial to follow in Missouri Veterans Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the D.A.V. or South Gate Baptist Church.
