Charles Allen Talbutt

Charles Allen Talbutt, age 66, of Springfield, MO, formerly of the Kansas City area, passed away Saturday, May 26, 2012, at Cox Medical Center South. He was born September 6, 1945, in Kansas City, MO, to Mason and Ruth (Barnes) Talbutt. He was united in marriage to Mary A. Pickering in Moselle, MS, Feb. 27, 1971.

He worked for Burns & McDonnell Engineering of Kansas City for many years. He formed the company CADD Solutions, Inc., with a business partner. He qualified and played in PGA School (Q-school) in 1972 in Quincey, IL, but missed the cut and his PGA Card by two strokes. He played in numerous tournements locally and abroad, known by his close golfing buddies as "the little round man". He enjoyed fly-fishing with his Dad. He was very competitive, he loved playing billards and cards with friends and family. Most of all he loved being with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years Mary Talbutt; two daughters: Christy Van Amber and husband Aaron, and Misty Hembree and husband David all of Springfield, MO; five grandchildren: Ashley Ecker, Lucas, Abigail, and Kacey Van Amber, and Madison Hembree; an aunt Mary Ann Martin of WY; as well as several cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 PM followed by funeral services at 3:00 PM Thursday, May 31, 2012, in Greenlawn Funeral Home East.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Heart of the Ozarks Junior Golf Foundation (Rick Grayson-823-7888): 496 US Hwy 60E Republic, MO 65738.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Greenlawn Funeral Home East Springfield, MO.
