Louise Naomi Cunningham, 92, peacefully left this life, with her son by her side, on Friday, January 20, 2012, at James River Care Center.
Louise was born January 9, 1920, in Springfield, MO. She was married for 48 years to Sylvester J. Cunningham who preceded her in death in 1990.
She was also preceded in death by her son, Michael J. Cunningham, infant granddaughter, Amy Dawn, her sister, Bonnah Burton and her parents, Ernest and Olive Medley.
Lou enjoyed many friends and creation of beautiful crafts for all to enjoy and loved spending time with the lights of her life, her family, especially her great-grandchildren.
Lou will be lovingly remembered by her son, Daniel E. Cunningham, grandchildren Matthew D. Cunningham (Kristina), and Gretchen A. Gawron (Jeremy), great-grandchildren, Ashley, Logan, Loren, and Zachary Cunningham, and Sophia and Savannah Gawron, sister Ernestine Stokes (Grant), other special family Marti Cooper, Cheryl Cunningham, Sue Shook and Chris and Michele Beasley (Kayla and Kelsea). She is also survived by nephews, Rick and Randy Stokes and many friends.
Visitation will be Tuesday, January 24, 2012, at Greenlawn Funeral Home East, from 11 to 12 pm, graveside services will follow at 1:00 pm in Hazelwood Cemetery, Springfield, MO. Online condolences many be made at: www.greenlawnfuneralhome.com.
